Open For Business: Safety Protocols In Place

At Montague Miller & Co we want to express our gratitude to all of our friends and clients for putting your trust in our agents and company as we continue to focus on helping you realize your real estate goals. While serving central Virginia for over seven decades, we have weathered a few challenges although the Covid pandemic has been most unique. We have been blessed over the last 2 ½ years to not only have survived, but to have thrived. We have you, our loyal friends and clients to thank. While the greatest concerns of the pandemic may be behind us, the repercussions and effects on the market will likely be felt for some time to come.

At Montague Miller, our primary concern is to you, our friends, and clients and for your health and safety. The steps we take both internally with our agents and employees, and in our recommendations to you, our buyers, sellers, and tenants continue to focus on the safety as well as the comfort of those around us. Our aim is to minimize risk while continuing to meet your needs in the real estate world. There are a number of steps we are continuing to take.

We want to assure our clients that health and safety are of utmost importance and have the following plans in place.

  • Sellers: If you are putting your home on the market you have the right to dictate the showing procedures that you want people to take including masking, booties, or hand sanitizing.
  • Buyers: When looking at homes you and your Agent must adhere to the requests of any Seller as to Covid precautions they require. This may range from none to wearing face masks or hand sanitizing. You are of course able to be more cautious than what is required. Discuss with your Agent whether you prefer to ride together or in separate cars, and your preferences when getting together. People feel many different ways about what precautions they prefer but our goal is to make things both comfortable and safe for you.
  • Office:  Our offices are fully open and masking is optional. However, if you are not vaccinated we would request that you continue to wear masks at all times in our buildings.

The real estate market is always changing and now is no different. Throughout much of the last 2 ½ years inventory has been very low and multiple offers are the norm. We are now seeing the market slow although inventory remains extremely low. How does this impact you and your goals? We would love to have the opportunity to discuss that with you. If you don’t have an Agent already and would like to get to know our Agents in your area, visit We would be delighted to assist you in your real estate journey.

With best regards,

Rives Bailey
