Vest and Company, started by Mike’s mother, Connie Vest, in 1979, was a full service real estate company specializing in residential waterfront property and services included property management, condominium and homeowner association management, as well as real estate brokerage.  The family brokerage service was acquired by Long and Foster Real Estate in 2005. 

As an active member of the Chesapeake Bay and Rivers Association of Realtors, Mike has served on or chaired numerous committees including Professional Standards, Grievance Committee, MLS Committee, and Public Relations Committee.  Mike has also served as President of the association and was awarded the Realtor of the Year as well as the Salesman of the Year award.
